1. Acceptance of terms
By placing an order with us, or by using this website, you accept these terms. If we agree something different with you in writing — in a quotation, an order or a signed agreement — that document takes precedence over this page.
2. Services
Lux Photo provides photography services, including portrait, event, product and property photography, together with retouching and delivery of the finished images.
Where a shoot takes place at a venue we do not control, access and any venue permissions are the client's responsibility unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
The specific scope of each piece of work is agreed with you before it begins.
3. Quotations and prices
Prices shown on this website are in pounds sterling. Where a price is shown as “from”, it is a starting price and a written quotation is provided before work begins. Pro Technologies Limited is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added to our prices.
4. Payment
Payment is due at the time of booking unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. We accept the payment methods offered on this website at the time of ordering. For larger commissions we may ask for a deposit before the work is scheduled.
5. Booking, changes and cancellation
Dates are held once a booking is confirmed. If you need to move or cancel a booking, tell us as early as you can and we will do our best to accommodate it. Where we have already committed costs on your behalf, or reserved a date we can no longer fill, we may retain a proportionate part of the deposit to cover that. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
6. Work that depends on conditions outside our control
Some work cannot go ahead safely or usefully in certain conditions — weather, light, access to a location, or permissions from a third party. If that happens we will agree a new date with you at no extra charge rather than deliver a poor result.
7. Your material and our work
You keep the rights to material you supply to us. Rights in the work we produce pass to you on full payment, unless your written agreement with us says otherwise. We may show completed work as an example of what we do; if you would prefer we did not, tell us and we will not.
8. Delivery and storage
Finished files are delivered in the format agreed with you. We keep working copies for a limited period after delivery as a courtesy, not as a backup service — please keep your own copy of anything you need long term.
9. Limitation of liability
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid us for the service the claim relates to. Neither party is liable for loss of profit, loss of business or other indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud, or affects your statutory rights.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with our work, tell us first. We would rather put something right than argue about it. Write to info@pro-technologies.co.uk and we will respond.
11. Privacy
We handle personal data in accordance with UK data protection law and only for the purposes of providing the service you asked for.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
